This past week I shot some portraits of retiring professor Jan Dauve. For more than 25 years he has taught Agricultural Economics to thousands of students at the University of Missouri. I even had him in the fall of 2005 and spring of 2006.

Jan was great to work with, but it was one of the first portraits that I had to shoot without much of a story or direction. I came up with the idea to shoot the photos in the classroom Jan taught most of career — Waters Auditorium.

I lit these with two Canon Speedlights mounted with an Impact Quickbox I fired the flashes with a Pocketwizard.

Enjoy!
